Sexual Addiction in Women

With the increase in awareness and openness in talking about sex, people are learning to accept that women can have their preferences in sexual activities, they can engage in masturbation and think about sex just like men do.

But there is a thin line in embracing sexual needs and desires and being addicted to them.

In the case of women and their biological processes and changes like menstruation, their struggles continue in order to be taken seriously and their conditions be considered as real ones and not just be shrugged off by saying “deal with it”.

Similar would be the case of a woman being addicted to sex or sexual activities like masturbation. The first response to a piece of information like that will be disbelief, will move on to disgust and in many cases, people start maintaining a distance, further aggravating the patient’s condition. This deprives her of the consideration and compassion she requires to deal with it.
